In the divided village of Blatera, a fragile peace exists between humans and the undead. On one side of a perilous border live the surviving humans carrying about their lives as normal. On the other, a horde of relentless zombies clinging to life amidst a brutal drought and confined by a mysterious bell that rings once every 24 hours, emanating a force that keeps the undead at bay. The bell has protected the humans for generations, a lifeline as sacred as it is fragile.
But desperation breeds betrayal. When the deposed king of Blatera strikes a dark bargain with the zombies—offering a third of the villagers as food in exchange for their help reclaiming his throne—the fragile balance is shattered. Armed with forbidden knowledge passed down from his father, the king silences the bell and unleashes chaos, sparking a nightmare none could have foreseen.
Amidst the rising darkness, two unlikely heroes emerge. Ulseron, a half-human, half-zombie tormented by his dual nature yet gifted with complete control over his monstrous side, senses the betrayal and ventures into the shadowed woods. There, he crosses paths with Zella, a mysterious half-human, half-vampire girl who shares his cursed duality and possesses powers far beyond what she fully understands.
